The best golf courses in Lido Beach, New York

“First few holes quietly climb to the apex of the property where the rest of the course sprawls out beneath. Not a championship course but the scenery is spectacular and the template holes are awesome.”

“The Tillinghast design is home to some of the tightest fairways and thickest rough a golfer will find. You don't play Bethpage for the greens, you play for the journey to them. They're considerably flat and slow, which people dislike, but I think it adds a sense of fairness back to the golf course.”

“Another phenomenal club I was fortunate enough to play right after The Creek. Much larger property, but the routing and layout are top notch. Template holes galore including the OG American Biarritz.”

“An amazing championship layout that really goes under the radar in golf rich LI. A real test no matter what tee you play. A cool drivable par 4 (5) and cool short Par 5 finishing hole.”

“Great views of the Statue of Liberty and NYC. Certainly gets way more disrespect than it deserves. Not a natural look, but course is in great shape and still has a good variety of holes. Finishing stretch of 14-18 is awesome.”

“Layout is crammed into a pretty small piece of land that is very hilly. Still a few really cool holes and a good overall course. The greens are some of the craziest that I have ever seen, can make for a frustrating round if you are above the hole.”

“A classic Deveruex Emmet course, Huntington is decently fun track. Layout and design is not spectacular, but the grounds crew does a very good job. Fast greens and more than 1 gettable 4s make it interesting.”

“Always living in the shadow of its big brother the black course the red course is a true hidden gem. Without the black course right by its side im a firm believer this course would be seen as a top 5 public course in the state. Same thoughtful routing done by the legendary A.”

“On the water so you expect some wind but this wind made it impossible to judge and I wouldnt judge a course based on this but the green were awful and did not hold when you hit them. The course is made hard for no reason takes the fun out of golf.”
