“The Tillinghast design is home to some of the tightest fairways and thickest rough a golfer will find. You don't play Bethpage for the greens, you play for the journey to them. They're considerably flat and slow, which people dislike, but I think it adds a sense of fairness back to the golf course.”

“Fully deserving of the #1 course in CT ranking. A great experience all around. A championship test with some of the toughest greens I’ve ever seen. Layout has a good mix of long and short holes and a few monster Par 5’s.”

“Layout is crammed into a pretty small piece of land that is very hilly. Still a few really cool holes and a good overall course. The greens are some of the craziest that I have ever seen, can make for a frustrating round if you are above the hole.”

“A classic Deveruex Emmet course, Huntington is decently fun track. Layout and design is not spectacular, but the grounds crew does a very good job. Fast greens and more than 1 gettable 4s make it interesting.”

“Had a Day yesterday at Devereux Emmet’s masterpiece. Long Island stands alone as the Mecca for unparalleled great golf courses in America. Everyone knows of NGLA, Shinnecock, Friars, Maidstone….the list goes on and on. But, only the true golf course crazy’s know of St George’s.”
