Course Vaults is operated by Andreoni-Group LLC, a company based in California, USA. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our application or website.
1. What We Collect
We collect the following personal information when you use Course Vaults:
- Email address
- First and last name (collected via Google Sign-In where applicable)
- Golf handicap (as submitted by you)
- Profile photos uploaded by you
- Location data, used to support features such as course discovery and on-course detection (see Section 5)
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your rankings and course history
- Enable social features, including the ability to follow other users
- Send occasional marketing communications and newsletters
- Analyze usage trends and improve the application through internal analytics and tracking
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in each message.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, which may collect technical or usage information independently:
- Google Analytics — usage analytics and trend analysis
- Supabase — database infrastructure and data storage
- Google Sign-In — optional authentication; we receive only your first name, last name, and email address. No other Google account data is accessed.
We do not sell your personal data or share it with any third parties beyond those listed above.
4. Cookies and Tracking
Course Vaults does not set cookies directly. However, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar tracking technologies in connection with analytics functionality. Our internal tracking systems may also collect usage data to support application performance and improvement.
5. Location Data
Course Vaults may collect location data in the background, but only if you explicitly enable this permission on your device. Background location access is used solely to detect when you are present at a golf course, enabling relevant in-app features. You may revoke this permission at any time through your device settings, and the application will continue to function without it.
6. Data Security
We protect your personal data using row-level security controls through Supabase, our database infrastructure provider. This ensures that each user can only access their own data. While we implement reasonable technical safeguards, no system is completely immune to security risks, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed from our systems. To request account deletion, please contact us at proshop@coursevaults.com. We will respond to all data requests within 30 days.
8. Account Access and Authentication
You may register and log in using an email address and password, or by authenticating through your Google account. When using Google Sign-In, we receive only your first name, last name, and email address.
9. Your Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we hold about you, the right to request deletion of your data, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at proshop@coursevaults.com. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Children's Privacy
Course Vaults is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at proshop@coursevaults.com and we will promptly remove it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will notify you by email prior to the changes taking effect. The date at the top of this document reflects when the policy was last revised.
12. Future Monetization
Course Vaults is currently offered free of charge. If we introduce paid features or monetization in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect any relevant changes prior to implementation.
