North Course
Rockville, MD, USA

The North Course at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland, was originally designed by Alfred H. Tull and later renovated by Arthur Hills. Woodmont, established in 1913, is one of the Washington, D.C. area's historic private clubs and operates two eighteen-hole courses on its property in suburban Montgomery County. The North Course serves as one half of the club's golf offerings, complementing the South Course in providing members with varied playing options. The layout reflects both Tull's original design sensibilities from the mid-twentieth century and Hills's later modifications, which typically emphasize strategic bunkering and green complexes that reward thoughtful course management. The terrain in this part of Maryland features rolling topography characteristic of the Piedmont region, with mature tree-lined fairways and elevation changes that add dimension to the holes. Water features come into play on several holes, and the routing takes advantage of the natural contours of the land. Woodmont Country Club has a long-standing reputation in the Washington metropolitan area's golf community. The club has historically been known for its active membership and strong competitive golf culture, hosting numerous regional amateur events over the decades. The North Course provides members with a traditional parkland experience that balances accessibility for everyday play with enough challenge to maintain interest for accomplished players. The combination of classic design elements and modern updates reflects the club's commitment to maintaining quality golf facilities for its membership.

Man sized course!!
Very fun design with an awesome back 9. Par 3’s were long but very well designed. Can’t wait to get back there once it’s in its purest shape.
More difficult than the south course. Perfect conditions and fast rounds. Amazing grass range and huge pro shop.
