Alfred H. Tull

Alfred H. Tull was a prolific golf course architect working primarily in the mid-Atlantic and northeastern United States during the mid-20th century. His portfolio spans private country clubs, municipal facilities, and state park courses, demonstrating versatility across different scales and clienteles.

Among his notable private club designs are Huntington Crescent Club on Long Island, both the North and South courses at Woodmont Country Club in Maryland, Bedford Golf & Tennis Club in New York, and the Country Club of Darien in Connecticut. His work at Canoe Brook Country Club's North course in New Jersey and DuPont Country Club in Delaware (including both the Du Pont and Nemours courses) further illustrates his reach among elite clubs in the region.

Tull also made significant contributions to public golf, including the Blue course at Bethpage State Park—part of a facility that would become internationally recognized—and multiple courses at Sunken Meadow State Park in New York.
