In 1997, the club engaged world renowned architect, Jay Morrish, in an effort to recapture Colt's original vision. Bloomfield Hills Country Club hosted the 1933 U.S. Amateur, won by George Dunlap, solidifying its place in the annals of American golf history. While not a frequent stop for major professional tournaments, the club maintains a respected position regionally. Its membership has historically included titans of the automotive industry, further grounding the club in the area's rich industrial heritage.
