Weaver Ridge Golf Club

Weaver Ridge Golf Club opened in 2003 as a daily-fee facility in Peoria, designed by the team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. The course occupies rolling terrain characteristic of central Illinois, with the routing taking advantage of natural elevation changes and wooded corridors that frame many holes. Hurdzan and Fry, known for their environmental sensitivity and strategic design work, created a layout that incorporates native grasses and prairie restoration areas alongside traditional playing surfaces. The design features multiple tee boxes to accommodate different skill levels, with fairways that move through varied topography rather than across uniformly flat ground. Water comes into play on several holes, and the bunkering style reflects the architects' preference for natural, irregular shapes that tie into the surrounding landscape. The greens offer contour and movement, rewarding well-placed approach shots. As a public-access course in the Peoria area, Weaver Ridge serves both local golfers and visitors to central Illinois. The facility includes practice areas and a clubhouse with standard amenities.
