Dana Fry

Dana Fry is an American golf course architect whose portfolio spans ambitious championship layouts and versatile daily-fee facilities across North America and internationally. In 2018, he partnered with Jason Straka to design the South Course at Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club in Michigan, taking inspiration from the classic templates of Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth Raynor. His work is perhaps best known for Erin Hills in Wisconsin, which opened in 2006 and hosted the U.S. Open in 2017, making it the first individually owned course to stage the national championship.

Fry's portfolio demonstrates range and adaptability. Union League National Golf Club in New Jersey features multiple course combinations bearing names honoring Civil War generals—Grant, Sherman, and Meade—while Hamilton Farm Golf Club in New Jersey offers the Hickory and Highlands layouts. Other notable projects include Willow Point in Alabama, Naples National in Florida, and the resort layouts at Desert Willow in California. His reach extends beyond U.S. borders, with courses in Italy, Canada, and the Philippines.
