Walden Golf Club occupies rolling terrain in Crofton, a planned community in Anne Arundel County between Baltimore and Annapolis. Rulewich in particular spent decades as Jones's lead associate before establishing his own practice, bringing deep familiarity with the original design intent. The updates modernized playing surfaces, refined bunkering, and adjusted green complexes to meet contemporary standards while preserving the fundamental character of Jones's routing and strategic concepts. Walden functions as a semi-private facility serving both members and daily-fee play, a model that reflects its origins within a residential community. The course provides a solid test of golf in a suburban setting, with length and hazard placement that reward accurate driving and thoughtful course management.
