Meridian Hills Golf Club

Meridian Hills Golf Club sits in a residential neighborhood on the north side of Indianapolis, established in 1921 with an original design by William Diddel. George Fazio worked on the course in the mid-20th century, followed by substantial involvement from Pete Dye beginning in the 1960s. Dye's influence is evident in the bunkering style and green complexes that introduce his characteristic strategic demands. Alice Dye, who collaborated with Pete on numerous projects throughout their careers, also contributed to the course's development. More recently, Bob Lohmann has been involved in renovation work, helping to maintain and update the design while preserving its historical character. The routing moves through established neighborhoods with generous tree cover, and the property's natural contours create variety in shot-making requirements. The course serves as the home club for a traditional private membership in Indianapolis, with a clubhouse and facilities that reflect its nearly century-long history.
