The course measures just over 6,300 yards from the back tees and features the characteristic elements of traditional links golf: rumpled fairways, deep pot bunkers, gorse, and greens that reward ground approaches. The opening holes move inland before the routing turns seaward, and several holes play directly along the coastal edge where the terrain becomes more dramatic. The par-three thirteenth, known as "Perfection," plays from an elevated tee to a green set against the beach and is frequently cited as one of the finest short holes in Fife. Lundin has hosted regional qualifying for The Open Championship on multiple occasions, serving as one of the venues when the championship is held at nearby St Andrews or Carnoustie.
