Dumbarnie Links Course
Leven, Fife, Scotland
Carved into the dramatic Fife coastline where the Firth of Forth meets the North Sea, Dumbarnie Links, though a modern creation, instantly evokes the spirit of golf's ancestral home. This true links course, designed by Clive Clark, traverses undulating terrain, weaving through ancient dune systems and alongside dramatic cliffs. Wide fairways offer a sense of invitation from the tee, while cunningly placed bunkers and the ever-present coastal winds ensure that strategy and shot-making are paramount. Dumbarnie favors the golfer who can work the ball, particularly those who embrace the ground game. Opened in 2020, Dumbarnie has quickly garnered attention for its ambitious routing and commitment to traditional links principles. While still in its relative infancy, it has yet to host a major championship, its challenging layout and stunning setting position it as a venue with considerable potential. Dumbarnie offers panoramic views across the water to Muirfield and North Berwick. While still finding its place amongst Scotland's established golfing elite, Dumbarnie is helping to solidify the eastern Fife region as a must-visit destination for discerning golfers seeking a memorable and challenging experience. The distinctive clubhouse, with its modern architecture that somehow still honors tradition, is beginning to establish itself as a local landmark.

Really great change of pace for a Scotland trip. Would fit perfectly in at Bandon or Sand Valley. Requires solid shotmaking but if you keep the ball off the dunes, is scorable. Views are unreal even if you’re not quite on the coast. Very high level of hospitality.
maybe the most beautiful opening hole in Scotland. this is a bug course and played from the back tees is a feat. very similar to Kingsbarns for views and scenery
Similar Kingsbarnes. Modern links layout.
A new age Links that still feels like it belongs in Scotland. Some really good risk reward holes and cool green complexes. Definitely a must play if in the St. Andrews area.
