The Players Club at Woodland Trails

The Players Club at Woodland Trails is a daily-fee facility in Yorktown, Indiana, designed by Gene Bates and opened in the late 1990s. Bates, a regional architect who worked extensively throughout the Midwest, created a layout that navigates rolling terrain characteristic of east-central Indiana. The property incorporates wooded corridors and open meadow areas, with elevation changes that provide natural variety to the routing. The course measures over 7,000 yards from the back tees and features multiple sets of tees to accommodate different skill levels. Water comes into play on several holes, and the design includes strategic bunkering around greens and in landing areas. The layout takes advantage of the natural topography, with holes playing through mature tree lines and across gentle valleys. As a public-access facility, The Players Club serves the Muncie-Anderson metropolitan area and draws golfers from surrounding communities in Delaware and Madison counties. The course hosts local amateur events and league play throughout the season.
