Lake Buena Vista Course
Lake Buena Vista, FL, USA

Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, a constant in the shadow of the Magic Kingdom, is a player-friendly Joe Lee design that has provided accessible championship golf in the heart of Disney World since 1972. The course embodies a classic Florida parkland style, characterized by generous fairways lined with mature trees and strategically placed water hazards that come into play on several holes. While not overtly penal, Lake Buena Vista rewards strategic play and a deft touch around the greens. It's a course where both seasoned golfers and vacationing families can find enjoyment, offering a respite from the theme park bustle. Originally designed by Joe Lee, Lake Buena Vista Golf Course hosted the Walt Disney World Golf Classic from 1971-2012. The event attracted some of golf's biggest names, including Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. While not counted among golf’s most hallowed grounds, its accessibility and location near world-famous entertainment make it a popular destination for golfers of all skill levels. Many golfers remember playing the 18th, a dogleg left par 4, which played as one of the more exciting finishing holes during the Walt Disney World Golf Classic due to its surrounding water and trees that would punish any errant shots. The club also has an active membership of locals who enjoy its laid-back atmosphere and frequent tournaments.

This is my favorite Friday night course! I have played a tournament match here with PGA junior league and tons of times with my mom. Breathtaking to play at sunset. Immaculate fast greens. And you can take the ferry over to Disney Springs for dinner afterwards. They have a snack shack and a really nice pro shop -shout out to Ben. The Island hole is my favorite. I nailed that shot every time check it out on my YouTube channel.
