Hawks Landing Course
Orlando, FL, USA

Hawks Landing, woven into the fabric of Orlando golf, presents a challenge both demanding and accessible within the city's tourist corridor. The course, routed through gently rolling terrain punctuated by water features, exemplifies a modern design philosophy, emphasizing strategic play over sheer length. Generous fairways encourage aggressive drives, but encroaching hazards and subtly contoured greens penalize errant approaches. While the course lacks a major championship pedigree, it serves as a popular venue for regional amateur events. Originally conceived by Robert Cupp Jr., Hawks Landing presents a dynamic golfing experience characterized by thoughtful bunkering and undulating green complexes. The layout encourages a variety of shot shapes, though a right-to-left ball flight is often rewarded on several key holes, subtly favoring the naturally drawing player. The course’s playability lends itself to social rounds. Hawks Landing is a course where the spirit of friendly competition thrives. The membership is known for a relaxed atmosphere and camaraderie, often gathering post-round to dissect the day's play over casual fare. It's a place where local Orlando golfers can enjoy a challenging yet fair test of their skills without the pressures of a hyper-competitive environment.

A lovely resort experience I have played two tournaments there on the Junior tour powered by Under Armour Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. The some of holes are difficult. Very nice greens although they were slow each time I’ve been there.., very little rough. The pro shop the restaurant are expansive. Practicing next to the water at the range was uniquely pleasant. Definitely a weekend golf or tournament match place.
