Prince's sits on the same stretch of Kent linksland that hosts Royal St George's and Royal Cinque Ports, occupying former marshland reclaimed from Sandwich Bay. The club's history dates to 1906, though wartime requisitions and subsequent redevelopment have repeatedly reshaped the property. Ebert's work consolidated the routing into three distinct nine-hole loops—Shore, Dunes, and Himalayas—that can be combined in various eighteen-hole configurations. The Himalayas nine takes its name from the dramatic duneland that characterizes this portion of the property. The routing moves through more pronounced elevation changes than the Shore or Dunes loops, with holes playing over, around, and between substantial sand hills. The terrain creates blind or semi-blind shots and requires careful navigation of the natural contours. Fairways follow the valleys and ridgelines, and the green sites often sit in natural amphitheaters or atop elevated plateaus. Prince's has hosted Open Championship qualifying and various national amateur events. The club operates as a members' facility but maintains a relatively accessible visitor policy compared to some neighboring links.
