Fox Chase Course
Stevens, PA, USA

Fox Chase Golf Club sits in the rolling farmland of southeastern Pennsylvania's Lancaster County, an area better known for its Amish heritage and agricultural landscape than for golf. Steve Grabel designed the course, which opened in the early 2000s as part of a residential community development. Grabel, a regional architect based in the Mid-Atlantic, has built several courses in Pennsylvania and neighboring states, typically working with modest budgets and emphasizing playability for everyday golfers. The routing takes advantage of the property's natural contours and open terrain, with fairways that move across former agricultural land. The design incorporates water features and strategic bunkering to create interest and challenge without overwhelming recreational players. Like many modern daily-fee facilities in the region, Fox Chase serves a local membership and public play, offering a straightforward test of golf in a rural setting. The course fits into the broader pattern of Pennsylvania golf outside the Philadelphia suburbs—less heralded than the state's historic clubs but providing accessible golf in scenic countryside. Stevens itself is a small community in northern Lancaster County, where the landscape transitions from suburban sprawl to working farms and wooded hillsides.

Good value course and a hidden gem in the area. Course is very well maintained. Staff is friendly and one of the better halfway houses. Course can get a little overbooked and slow on weekends. Good range and large pro shop. Walkable course and on the easier side
