Champions Pointe Course
Henryville, IN, USA

Champions Pointe stands as a testament to classic golf course design, a stern but fair layout etched into the rolling hills of southern Indiana. The traditional parkland-style course, sculpted from former farmland, features bentgrass greens and fairways bordered by mature trees and strategically placed water hazards. It favors players who can work the ball both ways, offering a balanced test where thoughtful course management trumps brute power, however long drivers won't hurt you here. Designed by Fuzzy Zoeller, Champions Pointe opened in 1998, quickly establishing itself as a popular destination for regional golfers seeking a challenging but accessible experience. While it hasn't hosted major championships, the course has been a regular site for state-level amateur events, solidifying its position as a respected test within the Indiana golf community. Champions Pointe offers a down-to-earth golfing experience, eschewing pretension for genuine hospitality. The club prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and strong local membership, who often gather post-round to debate the merits of Zoeller's design over a plate of the club's famous breaded pork tenderloin sandwich - a regional delicacy.

It’s always in great shape. The practice facility offer a short game area with shots from fairway, rough and sand. The rough is thick and dense a real challenge. The staff is friendly and helpful and has a restaurant and bar. Cart girls are there on weekends. Korn Ferry Q-School is here every year. Be ready for holes 16 and 18 they can balloon your score.
One of the purest tracks in southern Indiana. Great all-around experience and hospitality. Played during a rainy week, so fairways and bunkers were mushy, but we had a lot of fun. Lots of elevation change in the final stretch, and 18 is such a fun hole.

Champions Pointe Golf Club lies in the wooded hills of southern Indiana, roughly thirty minutes north of Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) across the Ohio River. The drive traces a gentle ascent from the urban edge of Louisville into the quieter terrain of Clark and Scott counties, where the landscape softens into rolling hardwood forest and farmland. As you leave the interstate and wind through Henryville, the final approach feels decidedly rural - a transition from city to countryside that mirrors the club's secluded, parkland character tucked into the Indiana knobs.
