“Francis A Byrne is the best municipal golf course I have ever played. I found myself saying “wow - I love this golf course” over and over again. The greens steal the show throughout, starting with the long Biarritz on 2 (a hole I unfortunately made a mess of).”

“Course was in decent shape, still played firm despite it being in the middle of a hot rainy spring/early summer. Greens were a bit slow but the layout is good enough to overcome rather uninteresting greens. Really fun risk reward shots and some cool views with the lack of trees.”

“Old Bridge is a very fun new public course in Central NJ. The conditions are solid and the layout is fun. A good mix of some short and long holes with a few modern takes on some of the historic templates.”

“Great course, sorta a hidden gem. Can be challenging to get a good free time here if not a local. Course is well kept and has 3 separate 9’s. Grass range and putting area well kept. Staff are alright but not the nicest.”

“This is a post-renovation review. Although the course still needs to grow in some, the county did a tremendous job with the renovation. It’s a short and straightforward course so don’t come to be challenged. Excellent value at $60 to walk.”

“Skyway is one of the best munis in the NYC/NJ area, even as a 9 hole course. I like to call it the working man’s liberty national. You’ll be hard pressed to find an even lie, and despite all the play it sees the greens crew does an incredible job at upkeep.”

“This is my local muni course and it has everything that a local uni needs. Decent practice range (it would be so much better if they opened the grass range that they have, but for some reason it’s always closed), cheap tee times, alright course conditions, decent course…”

“One of the more over priced courses in NJ. Avoid at all cost if it rains as this place floods bad and will have multiple holes washed out. They won’t cancel tee time though and will just have you play 9 twice.”

“Blue White is about as Mid as public golf gets. Not much thought went into the layout. Conditions aren’t terrible for a public but the course is so boring it doesn’t matter. Green complexes are mostly flat circles. Really disappointed when I played this.”
