Thornberry Creek at Oneida operates as a 27-hole facility in northeastern Wisconsin, with the property divided into three nine-hole loops that can be combined in different configurations. The Iroquois nine forms one of these loops, sharing the grounds with the Legends and Oneida nines. Rick Jacobson designed the course, which opened in the late 1990s on land owned by the Oneida Nation. The facility sits in the rolling terrain characteristic of the region, with the layout incorporating natural wetlands, mature hardwoods, and elevation changes that provide variety across the routing. The Iroquois nine plays through wooded corridors and open meadow areas, with water features appearing on several holes. Like the other loops at Thornberry Creek, it reflects Jacobson's approach of working with the existing landforms rather than imposing dramatic earthwork. The course serves both daily-fee play and hosts outings, with the three-nine format allowing the facility to accommodate different group sizes and skill levels throughout the season. Thornberry Creek gained wider recognition when it hosted the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic from 2017 through 2019, bringing professional tournament golf to Wisconsin. The event used combinations of the three nines, with the Iroquois nine rotating into competitive play. The facility includes practice areas and a clubhouse that reflects the Oneida Nation's presence in the region, making it both a public golf amenity and a representation of the tribe's economic development efforts in Brown County.
