Warren Course
Notre Dame, IN, USA

Warren Golf Course, steeped in Notre Dame tradition, presents a formidable challenge within the rolling landscape of South Bend. Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in the classic, minimalist style, the course embraces the natural contours of the Indiana terrain, demanding strategic play rather than brute force. Favoring those who can shape shots, it weaves through native grasses and subtly contoured greens, punishing errant approaches. The Warren notably hosted the 2019 U.S. Senior Open, a testament to its championship caliber and playability for both professionals and amateurs. While not commanding global recognition, it stands as a highly respected and challenging course in the Midwest. Beyond the course, the Warren's clubhouse serves as a hub for Notre Dame alumni, faculty, and golf enthusiasts. It is known for its collegiate spirit and the informal tradition of post-round gatherings on the patio, where stories of heroic shots and near misses mingle with the echoes of the Fighting Irish spirit. A course that rewards course management and is a reflection of Notre Dame's commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

Golfers say this Coore and Crenshaw design delivers a classic feel with modern execution, praising its excellent conditioning even in challenging weather and its status as a strong value. Most reviewers highlight the course's meticulous maintenance and thoughtful routing, with one calling it a personal favorite. Some find the wide fairways can be deceptive, as balls occasionally run through into long grass where they're difficult to locate, adding frustration to an otherwise rewarding round. Reviewers consistently recommend the course as a must-play for anyone in the area.

C&C never do wrong with greens. These are no different
Wasn’t expecting this course to be in this pristine condition in October and after 2 days of rain. As of right now, my favorite course I have ever played.
Coore and Crenshaw built a modern course with great old school feel. Well maintained, well designed, great overall course.
Golf under the golden dome.
Fantastic course that's a great value. Can be frustrating at times when ball runs through fairway into the long grass and can't be found. Highly recommend playing if you're in the area.
