Where the Beach course runs closer to Bass Strait and features more pronounced links terrain, The Creek winds through inland ground with native vegetation, wetlands, and the watercourse that gives the layout its name. The routing incorporates natural creek corridors and established stands of tea-tree and coastal scrub, creating a parkland-links hybrid that contrasts with the more exposed seaside holes found on its companion course. The design emphasizes strategic bunkering and green complexes that reward precision over pure length, though several holes stretch beyond 400 meters from the back tees.
