The greens are typically mid-sized with subtle breaks, and Robinson incorporated water features on a handful of holes where the terrain naturally accommodated them. The routing returns to the clubhouse at the turn, a common feature in his designs. Sturgeon Valley serves as a private club for the St. Albert area and has hosted regional amateur competitions over the decades.
