Colorado Golf Club sits on rolling prairie land southeast of Denver in Parker, where Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw completed their design in 2007. The course occupies high-elevation terrain that provides long views toward the Front Range while maintaining the character of the native grassland landscape. Coore and Crenshaw routed the holes to work with the property's natural contours and drainage patterns, creating a walking course that moves across ridges and through swales with minimal earthmoving. The design emphasizes wide fairways and strategic options, with bunkers placed to influence angles of approach rather than to narrow landing areas. Greens feature subtle internal contours and are often integrated into the surrounding landforms rather than elevated above grade. The native fescue grasses that frame the playing corridors reinforce the high plains setting and allow the course to play firm and fast during dry conditions typical of the region. Colorado Golf Club operates as a private facility and has hosted significant competitive golf since opening. The club served as the venue for the 2010 Senior PGA Championship and the 2013 Solheim Cup, the latter marking the first time the international women's team competition was held in Colorado. The course plays at elevation above 6,000 feet, which affects both distance and turf management throughout the season.
