Shadow Glen Golf Club, carved into the Blackland Prairie of Manor, Texas, is a testament to Texas golf history. This 18 hole design by renowned architect Algie Pulley, Jr. has been host to some of Central Texas' finest. Opened in 1999, the course has been host to US Open Qualifiers, Austin Amateur Championships and more. The Texas style course presents generous fairways. The layout is forgiving to those that can't hit it straight but it's the subtle approach shots that will challenge a skilled player to manage their ball to find the correct tier of the green. It's Texas golf at its finest where the wind is a constant variable and the golfer has to adapt to conditions. While not nationally recognized, Shadow Glen is a staple in the Austin golf community. A large and active membership is drawn from all over the state and beyond and is known for its camaraderie and passion for the game. Shadow Glen might be the best value golf in the Austin area.
