Regulation Course
Golden Valley, MN, USA

Brookview Golf Course operates as a municipal facility in Golden Valley, a first-ring suburb immediately west of Minneapolis. The course sits on rolling terrain that characterizes much of the western Twin Cities metro area, with mature tree-lined fairways and modest elevation changes typical of courses built on glacial topography. As a public course serving a densely populated suburban area, Brookview provides accessible golf within minutes of downtown Minneapolis and draws a diverse mix of daily-fee players, local residents, and Twin Cities golfers seeking convenient weekday rounds. The routing works through wooded corridors and open spaces, with several holes playing along natural drainage patterns and others crossing gently rolling ground. Water features appear on select holes, and the tree canopy creates defined playing corridors that reward accuracy over distance on many approach shots. The course layout reflects mid-century municipal design priorities: playable for a range of skill levels while offering enough challenge to engage regular players. Brookview functions as part of the Three Rivers Park District system, which operates several golf facilities across the western suburbs. The course includes a practice range and short-game area, and the clubhouse provides standard public-course amenities. During winter months, portions of the property convert to cross-country skiing and other cold-weather recreation, a common dual-use approach for municipal courses in Minnesota's climate. The facility emphasizes accessibility and year-round community use rather than championship conditions or tournament hosting.

Tough scene. Not a good course at all. The Par 3 course is your better option. The chicken wings are good. It’s a nice place to visit for lunch, but the course is a waste of time.
Perfect muni. Nothing special at all but good place to hit the ball around.
