Gleneagles Golf Resort

The PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles opened in 1993, designed by Jack Nicklaus to commemorate the centenary of the PGA. Set within the Gleneagles estate in the Perthshire countryside, the course occupies higher ground than the resort's older King's and Queen's courses, offering expansive views across the Ochil Hills and surrounding moorland. Nicklaus routed the layout across rolling terrain with significant elevation changes, incorporating natural burns, heather, and strategic bunkering throughout. The course gained international prominence when it hosted the 2014 Ryder Cup, marking the first time the matches were held in Scotland since 1973.
