Green Valley Golf Course sits in Lake Park, Minnesota, a small community in the west-central part of the state near the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area. The course was designed by Mike Levin, a regional architect who has worked on several layouts in Minnesota and the upper Midwest. The setting reflects the transition zone between prairie and lake country that characterizes this portion of Minnesota, where gently rolling terrain and scattered wetlands shape the playing corridors. The routing takes advantage of the natural topography, with fairways that move across modest elevation changes and incorporate the native grasses and water features common to the region. Players encounter a mix of hole styles that require both strategic positioning off the tee and thoughtful approach play into greens that vary in size and contour. The design emphasizes playability for a range of skill levels while maintaining enough challenge to keep regular members engaged. Green Valley serves as a community course for Lake Park and the surrounding area, offering a straightforward golf experience without extensive resort amenities. The facility focuses on the fundamentals of the game in a landscape that showcases the quiet, agricultural character of western Minnesota. For visitors passing through the region, it provides an accessible option that reflects the unpretentious golf culture typical of smaller Midwestern towns.
