Four Streams Course
Beallsville, MD, USA

Four Streams Golf Club occupies rolling terrain in Beallsville, Maryland, a rural area in the western part of Montgomery County near the Potomac River. The course was designed by Steve Smyers in collaboration with Nick Price, the Zimbabwean golfer who won three major championships during the 1990s. Smyers, known for his work on courses like Southern Dunes in Florida, typically emphasizes strategic options and natural landforms in his designs. Price's involvement brought a player's perspective to the routing and shot values. The property features the kind of elevation changes and wooded corridors characteristic of the Maryland Piedmont, with streams threading through the landscape. Smyers designs often incorporate wide playing corridors with strategic bunkering that rewards thoughtful course management over pure distance. The collaboration with Price suggests attention to green complexes and approach shot angles that test skilled ball-strikers while remaining playable for a range of abilities. Four Streams operates as a private club serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The course provides a relatively secluded golf experience despite its proximity to suburban development, taking advantage of the natural screening offered by the wooded Maryland countryside. The club represents one of several modern designs built in the region during the late 1990s and early 2000s, a period when the Washington area saw expansion of private golf facilities catering to the area's growing population of golf enthusiasts.

Layout is excellent but not clear if can keep up the conditioning.
Easily one of my favorite course I have ever played. The vibes during the fall with the leaves changing are beautiful here. It’s in the middle of nowhere, very little members. Strictly golf and that’s what amazing about the course. Bunkers and greens are pristine.
