Dallas Course
Dallas, TX, USA

Dallas Country Club is where Texas golf society took root. A traditional, parkland layout nestled in the heart of Highland Park, the course’s gentle, rolling terrain belies a stern test fashioned during the Golden Age of course design. The relatively narrow fairways reward precise ball-striking, demanding strategic approaches into well-guarded greens. Favoring those who can shape the ball, subtle doglegs and strategically placed bunkers penalize the wayward shot far more than raw power. Originally crafted by Tom Bendelow, the course has seen enhancements from notable architects over the decades, ensuring its continued relevance for a membership steeped in tradition. While not on the major championship rota, Dallas Country Club has hosted significant regional and state amateur events, solidifying its position as a respected proving ground for aspiring golfers. Beyond the golf, Dallas Country Club’s membership reflects the city’s established business and social elite. Known for a sense of understated elegance, the club also features a coveted position as host of the annual Texas-Oklahoma rivalry tailgate that has been a long-held tradition for well over a century.

This is a country club not a golf club and after playing you’ll never get that confused. The course is kept in flawless condition but is confined to a tight piece of property where a wayward drive is likely to hit a billionaire’s house or the HP Village Prada store. Still a great time with good company and a blow your hair back 24 oz ranch water!
Great condition, yawn layout
