Broadwater Park Golf Club sits in the Surrey countryside near Godalming, a market town southwest of London in an area known for its concentration of heathland and parkland courses. The course was designed by K.D. Milton, a lesser-known architect whose work appears primarily in the mid-twentieth century, though specific details about the design date and Milton's broader portfolio remain limited in widely available records. The layout occupies gently rolling terrain characteristic of this part of Surrey, where courses typically navigate through mature woodland and open parkland settings. The routing at Broadwater makes use of the natural topography, with holes moving through tree-lined corridors and across more open ground. Courses in this region often feature a mix of strategic bunkering and natural hazards, with the landscape providing much of the challenge through elevation changes and wooded boundaries. The club operates as a members' facility, serving the local golfing community in Godalming and the surrounding area. Broadwater Park represents the type of inland course common to Surrey—accessible, tree-framed golf that reflects the English parkland tradition without the severe heathland character found at more famous neighboring venues. The course provides a straightforward test for members and visitors, shaped by the natural features of its setting rather than dramatic architectural statements.
