Bandon Preserve Course
Bandon, OR, USA

Bandon Preserve isn't merely a par-3 course; it's a curated experience carved into the rugged Pacific coastline that defines Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Situated amongst its larger, more demanding siblings, the Preserve offers a different kind of challenge β one where strategy and imagination trump sheer power. Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, the Preserve embraces the minimalist design philosophy championed by its architects. Opened in 2012, it is a modern interpretation of links-style golf, built upon sandy soil with native grasses framing each hole. With its dramatic elevation changes and views of the sea, the course features undulating greens and requires creative shot-making. The Preserveβs 13 holes wind their way along bluffs overlooking the Pacific, and the course itself is walkable, offering a different kind of golf than the regulation courses. Beyond the exceptional golf, The Preserve contributes to the resortβs overall charm. A portion of the green fees goes directly to the Wild Rivers Coast Alliance, supporting conservation efforts on the Southern Oregon Coast, further cementing Bandon Dunes' commitment to preserving the natural beauty of its surroundings. While not designed for major championships, the joy of The Preserve lies in its accessibility and pure fun. It's a place where beginners and seasoned golfers alike can revel in the game.

Not my favorite par 3 since it requires all full shots but itβs a challenge
Extremely pretty and easy and quick
So fun. Wish I could play it with all the lads. Donβt skip
The perfect break from a full round, the Preserve is a well thought out par 3. With views of 17/18 of Bandon Dunes and carved out of the hills, blind tee shots and a mix of large/small greens, youβre guaranteed a good time.
Best par 3 I might ever play
Best Par 3 Iβve played. Maybe best in US. Great addition to a Bandon visit. Fun for low key round w a big group.
You cannot find a more peaceful place than the bench behind 9 tee. Simply picturesque.
Extremely cool par 3 course!!! 8.3/10 on par 3 course rating
Would rank it higher if it wasnβt a par 3 course. As far as views go Iβd argue thereβs no better par 3 course in the world and if there is I havenβt heard about it yet. Typical Bandon. Knocked it out of the park! Definitely recommend playing it in the afternoon to get the sunset on the horizon!
