Ardglass Course
Ardglass, Down, Northern Ireland

Ardglass isn't just built on the coast of County Down; it's hewn from it, a relentless confrontation with the Irish Sea dating back to 1896. This is links golf in its purest, most elemental form: soaring blind shots over craggy headlands, treacherous carries across chasms teeming with crashing waves, and greens perched precariously on the edge of oblivion. Originally shaped by the hand of George Combe, with subtle enhancements over the years, Ardglass favors the imaginative player. While not brutally long, the course demands shrewd course management and a willingness to embrace the unpredictable bounces and swirling winds that define links golf. Forget manicured perfection; here, the raw, untamed landscape dictates the game. Beyond the golf, Ardglass fosters a unique camaraderie. The 13th-century Norman castle integrated into the clubhouse isn't just a scenic backdrop; it's a gathering place where generations of members and visitors alike share stories, pints of Guinness, and the salty tang of the sea air. It's said that many a match has been won or lost not on the course, but in the castle's storied halls.

I loved everything about this place. Our caddy was amazing, everybody that worked there was amazing. We got great weather and I played well to top it off. Hope to go back one day.
Love this course and club. A bucket list course. Some holes might seem a little quirky but it is a great course. On a nice day scenery is wonderful
