Rod Whitman is a Canadian golf course architect from Alberta who has established himself as a leading designer of naturalistic courses that honor the traditions of links golf. His work gained international recognition with Cabot Links in Inverness, Nova Scotia, which opened in 2011 on a former coal-mining site along the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Developed by Ben Cowan-Dewar with backing from Bandon Dunes creator Mike Keiser, Cabot Links introduced North America's first true links course and helped revitalize the Inverness economy.
