Bobby Weed is an American golf course architect based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where he leads Bobby Weed Golf Design. A protégé of Pete Dye, Weed has built a career specializing in original design, renovations, and course repurposing. His portfolio spans TPC venues, private clubs, and university courses across the United States.
Among his notable projects are The Medalist in Hobe Sound, Florida—originally designed by Pete Dye and Greg Norman, with Weed completing renovations in 2015—and TPC at River Highlands in Connecticut, host of the PGA Tour's Travelers Championship. His work includes Timuquana Country Club in Jacksonville, Spanish Oaks in Austin, and Dye's Valley at TPC Sawgrass. Weed has also designed courses at Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club, Linville Ridge, and The Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida.
Weed is a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, and the Florida Turfgrass Association. His designs reflect a deep understanding of playability and site sensitivity developed through his years working alongside Pete Dye.
