Gary Panks is an American golf course architect with an extensive portfolio concentrated primarily in the Southwest United States. His work spans desert layouts, resort courses, and mountain settings, demonstrating versatility across varied terrain and climate conditions.

Among his notable designs are Twin Warriors Golf Club at Hyatt Tamaya in New Mexico, Sedona Golf Resort in Arizona, and Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta in California. In the Phoenix area, Panks created both courses at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler—Cattail and Devil's Claw—with Whirlwind known for hosting LPGA events.
