Fuzzy Zoeller

Frank Urban "Fuzzy" Zoeller Jr. (1951–2025) was an American professional golfer who won 10 PGA Tour events, including two major championships. He captured the 1979 Masters Tournament in his first appearance at Augusta National and added the 1984 U.S. Open to his major championship résumé. Known for his affable personality and trademark white towel draped over his golf bag, Zoeller remained a popular figure in professional golf throughout his competitive career.

Following his playing days, Zoeller transitioned into golf course design, creating layouts primarily across the American Midwest and Southeast. His portfolio includes TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, which has hosted PGA Tour events, and Champions Pointe in his home state of Indiana. Other designs include Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg, Indiana, and various club and resort courses in Ohio, South Carolina, Florida, and Arizona.

Zoeller's design work reflects accessibility for everyday golfers while incorporating strategic elements drawn from his professional playing experience.
