This course is ridiculously tight with undulating fairways that are punishing to great shots. They put us out directly behind an outing so our round took well over 5 hours.

Very tough opening stretch of holes, excellent par 5s, and generally thoughtful routing (loved the shared teebox on 16). Road hole reminded me of Merion.

Can see right away why it’s rated the best public in NJ. Great pro shop. Course is challenging but fair. Course is always in great condition. It’s on the pricier side but well worth the money if you want to treat yourself for the day.

Interesting course but pace is slow, golf carts barely worked and half the bunkers were ground under repair

Interesting enough course but nothing to write home about. Only pulled driver twice and still had wedges into most holes - can’t tell if that’s a feature or a bug, though we played up as the other guys were mid-to-high teens players.

How we rank
This ranking uses each golfer’s scenery rating, on a 0.5–5 scale. Scenery is the scenery score golfers give when they log a round. Every golfer counts once per course: repeat rounds are averaged first, then the course score is the average across golfers. A course needs scenery ratings from at least 5 different golfers. Ties go to the course with more golfers, then the higher Course Vaults score. Only open courses with a published Course Vaults score (at least 5 explicit ratings) are eligible, and a page is published only when at least 5 courses qualify. City pages include courses within about 25 miles of Hamburg, so nearby suburbs can appear. Rankings refresh about hourly.
