Blackwolf Run Golf Club

The Baths is one of two eighteen-hole courses at Blackwolf Run Golf Club in Kohler, Wisconsin, part of the Destination Kohler resort complex developed by the Kohler Company. The course was designed by Chris Lutzke in collaboration with Herb Kohler, who served as the company's chairman and took an active role in shaping the golf offerings at the property. Blackwolf Run opened in the 1980s and has since become a notable golf destination in the upper Midwest, with The Baths complementing the property's original River course. The course takes its name from the natural springs and water features that characterize the property. The routing works through rolling terrain typical of east-central Wisconsin, with elevation changes and wooded corridors framing many holes. The Sheboygan River influences the landscape, and the design incorporates the area's natural topography rather than imposing dramatic earthwork. Players encounter a mix of open and tree-lined holes, with strategic bunkering and water hazards requiring thoughtful course management. Blackwolf Run has hosted professional events, including multiple U.S. Women's Opens on the River course, which has brought attention to the entire facility.
