Teton Springs sits in the Teton Valley of eastern Idaho, just west of the Wyoming border and the Teton Range. The course occupies rolling terrain at approximately 6,200 feet elevation, with views toward the mountains that define the region. Gary Stevenson designed the layout with input from Byron Nelson, who lent his name and consultation to the project during the resort's development in the early 2000s. The course opened in 2004 as the centerpiece of a residential and resort community. The routing works across meadowland and through stands of cottonwood and aspen, with Trail Creek meandering through the property and coming into play on several holes. Stevenson shaped the course to emphasize natural contours and preserve sightlines to the Tetons, incorporating native grasses and wetland areas. The design features wide fairways that accommodate the mountain wind conditions, with strategic bunkering and water hazards that reward positioning over distance. Elevation changes are moderate but noticeable, particularly on holes that play uphill toward the western edge of the property. Teton Springs operates as part of a resort that includes lodging, dining, and recreational amenities beyond golf. The facility serves both resort guests and members, with a clubhouse that provides mountain lodge-style hospitality. The course has hosted regional amateur events and qualifiers, though it remains primarily a destination layout for visitors exploring the Teton Valley and nearby Jackson Hole area.
