Sunshine/Eldorado Course
Broomfield, CO, USA

The Sunshine and Eldorado courses at Omni Interlocken Golf Club in Broomfield, Colorado were designed by Graham, Parks International and opened in the late 1990s as part of the Interlocken development. The facility sits in the Denver metropolitan area's northwest corridor, positioned between Denver and Boulder with views of the Front Range. The courses occupy rolling terrain that transitions between Colorado's high plains character and the foothills, with elevation changes and natural drainage corridors shaping the routing. Graham, Parks International, a firm known for resort and daily-fee designs across the western United States, created two distinct eighteen-hole layouts that share practice facilities and a clubhouse. The Sunshine course typically plays as the more challenging of the pair, with greater length and more pronounced elevation changes, while Eldorado offers a somewhat more accessible experience. Both courses incorporate native grasses, water features, and strategic bunkering that requires accuracy in the thin air at approximately 5,400 feet elevation, where distance control becomes particularly important. The courses serve both resort guests at the adjacent Omni hotel and outside daily-fee play, making them accessible options in the northern Denver suburbs. The facility has hosted regional amateur competitions and corporate outings, functioning as a tournament-capable venue within the Omni resort portfolio. The setting provides a characteristic Colorado golf experience with mountain backdrops and high-altitude conditions that influence club selection and ball flight throughout the round.
Course has multiple 9’s this is my favorite of the 2 nines combined. The Sunshine course is a gorgeous, linksy style of golf with amazing Mountain View’s. Eldo is my favorite 9 with fun par 3’s and a few really good par 5’s. The risk/reward factor on the Vista course kept me from choosing an 18 hole split that included it. I hate #6 way too much…
