Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club

Stonecutters Ridge occupies land in Colebee, part of the growing northwestern corridor of Sydney. The course was designed by Greg Norman's design firm, with Matthew Dusenberry and Bob Harrison contributing to the project, and opened in the early 2000s as part of a residential development. The property takes its name from the historical use of the area by convict work gangs who quarried sandstone in the colonial period, and remnants of this industrial past remain visible in the landscape. The routing works across undulating terrain that includes natural ridgelines and gullies characteristic of the Cumberland Plain. The design incorporates native vegetation and wetland areas, with several holes playing along or across water features. The layout presents a variety of elevation changes, with some holes positioned on higher ground offering views across the broader Sydney basin. Strategic bunkering and the natural movement of the land create interest throughout the round. Stonecutters Ridge functions as a public-access facility, serving both members and daily-fee players in a region where golf course development has accompanied suburban expansion. The club provides standard amenities including practice facilities and dining options. The course represents one of several Norman-affiliated designs in Australia, though it operates at a more accessible level than the firm's resort or championship venues.
