Riverby Hills Course
Bowling Green, OH, USA

Riverby Hills Golf Club sits in Bowling Green, a small city in northwestern Ohio roughly twenty miles south of Toledo. The course serves the local community and the surrounding Wood County area, a region characterized by relatively flat to gently rolling farmland typical of this part of the Great Lakes plains. The club provides a traditional golf experience in a setting where the game has been played for several decades. The layout at Riverby Hills works with the modest topography available in this part of Ohio, incorporating natural drainage patterns and mature tree lines that define holes and frame playing corridors. Courses in this region typically feature parkland characteristics with hardwoods—oak, maple, and ash—that come into play on approach shots and demand accuracy from the tee. The routing likely takes advantage of any elevation change to create visual interest and strategic variety across the eighteen holes. Riverby Hills functions as a semi-private facility, welcoming both members and daily-fee players. The club serves as a venue for local amateur competitions and provides a home course for Bowling Green State University's golf programs, which compete in the Mid-American Conference. The clubhouse offers dining and social spaces that support the membership and host outings throughout the golf season, which runs from early spring through late autumn in northern Ohio.
