Peninsula Kingswood Course
AU

Peninsula Kingswood operates two eighteen-hole courses on the Mornington Peninsula southeast of Melbourne, Victoria. The club's North Course, designed by Vern Morcom and opened in 1987, and the South Course, designed by Mike Wolveridge and opened in 1989, occupy gently rolling terrain characteristic of the peninsula's coastal plain. The property sits inland from Port Phillip Bay, with the courses routed through established stands of native eucalyptus and tea-tree that define the playing corridors and frame many holes. The North Course features tighter, tree-lined fairways and smaller greens that reward accuracy and course management. Water hazards come into play on several holes, and the layout demands strategic thinking rather than pure length. The South Course offers a somewhat more open character with wider fairways and larger, undulating greens that place greater emphasis on approach play and putting. Both courses incorporate the natural vegetation and modest elevation changes to create variety in hole design and shot requirements. Peninsula Kingswood serves as a member-owned private club with facilities that include practice areas, a clubhouse, and dining amenities typical of established Australian golf clubs. The courses host regular member competitions and have been used for regional amateur events. The club's location on the Mornington Peninsula places it within a concentration of golf courses that take advantage of the area's temperate climate and coastal landscape, making the peninsula a recognized destination for golf in Victoria.
