Hollingsworth and later renovated by Dave Fleming, reflecting a blend of traditional Southern California golf architecture with modern updates suited to the region's rolling terrain and climate. The routing takes advantage of the natural topography characteristic of this transitional zone between coastal valleys and inland mountains. Players encounter elevation changes and canyon features that define the strategic character of the layout. The design incorporates native vegetation and mature trees, including the oaks and sycamores that give both the course and resort their names, creating a parkland feel distinct from the desert courses found further inland. Oak Glen serves as part of a resort amenity alongside its companion course, Willow Glen, offering visiting golfers access to two contrasting layouts within the same property.
