Bunkering is substantial throughout, with deep pot bunkers and sprawling waste areas that frame landing zones and greens. Machynys has hosted professional events including Challenge Tour tournaments and Welsh national championships. The club operates as a members' facility with visitor access, and the course serves as the centerpiece of a residential and leisure development on the peninsula.
