Magnolia/ Dogwood at Callawassie Island Club

Callawassie Island Club sits on a private island in the South Carolina Lowcountry near Okatie, between Hilton Head Island and Beaufort. Tom Fazio designed both the Magnolia and Dogwood courses here in the early 1980s as part of a residential community development. The island setting provides the characteristic landscape of the region: live oaks draped with Spanish moss, tidal marshes, and wetlands that define both the visual character and strategic demands of the routing.
