Legends Course
Prior Lake, MN, USA

Legends Golf Club sits in Prior Lake, a southern Twin Cities suburb about twenty miles southwest of Minneapolis. The course opened in the mid-1990s as part of the residential development that characterizes much of the southwestern metro area during that period of growth. The property occupies gently rolling terrain typical of the glacial moraine landscape found throughout this part of Minnesota, with modest elevation changes and natural wetlands that come into play on several holes. The layout incorporates the native prairie grasses and wetland areas that define the region's ecological character, requiring golfers to navigate both strategic positioning and forced carries over water and native areas. The routing takes advantage of the property's natural contours, with fairways that move through corridors of mature hardwoods and across open meadow areas. Several holes feature elevated tees or greens that provide views across the surrounding lake country. Legends serves primarily as a daily-fee facility and has become a regular venue for local amateur competitions and high school tournaments in the south metro area. The course appeals to a range of skill levels, with multiple tee boxes that allow players to adjust the challenge to their game. The clubhouse offers standard amenities typical of Minnesota public courses, including a restaurant and banquet facilities that serve both golfers and the surrounding residential community.

Condition and pace are the only knocks on this course. Greens get beat to crap because they host 2 corporate events a week. It does seem like they are starting to fill ball marks with sand which could be a big development. Pace isn’t always a problem but twilight on the weekends is couples “night”… no quick golf being played. Lots of risk reward questions being asked out there. You have a chance to go really low but in reality you’ll probably come in with a double or two. One of the best early tee times in the state in my opinion. P.S. Fix your ball marks.
Probably a little overrated in the MN golf scene, and conditions have bit hit or miss generally. It’s fine but there are many better places for the moneg
