MARIETTA COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Kennesaw, GA, USA
Designed by Bob Cupp

Nestled in the rolling hills of Kennesaw, Georgia, the Lake View/Overlook course at Marietta Country Club offers a distinctly Southern golfing experience steeped in tradition. Crafted in the early 1970s, the course’s original design showcases a classic parkland layout, meandering through mature hardwoods and gently undulating terrain with water coming into play on several holes.
Designed by Joe Lee, known for his work on challenging yet playable courses, the layout favors strategic play over brute force. Precise tee shots are rewarded on dogleg fairways, while the well-guarded greens demand accuracy on approach shots. The course’s name alludes to the picturesque views of the surrounding landscape, particularly as the back nine winds its way to the namesake lake.
While not a regular stop on professional tours, the Marietta Country Club has long been a respected venue for regional amateur competitions and qualifiers. The club’s membership is known for its close-knit community and active social calendar, often gathering for post-round meals featuring Southern cuisine on the clubhouse veranda overlooking the 18th green.
