Kissing Tree Course

Kissing Tree Golf Club, nestled in the Texas Hill Country near San Marcos, boasts a design that embraces the rolling terrain and native grasses that define the region. The course is known for its challenging layout, demanding strategic shot-making rather than brute force, with multiple doglegs that favor players who can shape the ball effectively. The course itself is not particularly known for demanding precision, rather it's a resort course known for its conditions, friendly atmosphere, and the community that exists around it. Created by golf course architect Billy Fuller, the course integrates seamlessly with the surrounding environment, taking advantage of natural elevation changes to create visually stunning and strategically compelling holes. Kissing Tree’s design philosophy values playability, encouraging golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a fair and rewarding round with generous fairways in most instances. Fuller has worked in the industry for over 30 years, learning the trade from Bob Cupp and Fuzzy Zoeller. The Kissing Tree community, built around the golf course, fosters a vibrant social atmosphere. Post-round gatherings are common at the on-site restaurant and bar, known for its authentic Texas cuisine. While not steeped in tournament history, Kissing Tree is celebrated as a place where the spirit of the game thrives, a place known for creating camaraderie.

Kissing Tree is one of Texas’ newer semi-private golf options; an extremely fun Gary Stephenson design in Hill country w/ an awesome back nine that might be my favorite of the courses I’ve played this week. Conditions were good for the price & expansive practice facility is nice.
Pretty fun course. Can play pretty easily in my opinion
